Felizidades a Gerardo y Natalia who got married over the weekend! I had the honor of attending and I have to say, it was one of the most romantic wedding celebration. Their theme was Charreada aka Charrería which is a competitive event similar to rodeo and of old Mexico Hacienda.

Here are some pictures I took of the making of a Charreada / Mexican Themed Wedding Cake. As I do with most of my artistic cakes, I used fondant (pasta de azucar) to bring this into fruition....enjoy.
I tinted the fondant with flesh tone food color and used the People Mold to form the figurines

This weekend (after returning from a relaxing camping trip up Cachuma Lake), I made a baby shower cake for my dearest friend's Baby Sprinkle (in lieu of a Baby Shower, get it?) Anyway, the theme was centered around sprinkles and flowers with lots of pretty pastel colors...
P.S. the cake was white almond with whipped cream cheese filling, fresh raspberries n blueberries. The Cupcakes were chocolate with butter cream & whipped cream frosting...it was a hit!
Figurine is made of sugar paste (aka Fondant); I used a mold for the head/body, but dress/shoes was done freehand

That's me, the cake fanatica on the right : )
This is a group picture where the celebration took place at the Luna Modern Mexican Kitchen in the city of Corona. Food was absolutely delectable!

I made this black and white collage cake for a birthday celebration. This would be a great concept for other celebrations such as a wedding anniversary, farewell retirement, etc...

This weekend I made a very colorful circus themed birthday cake for a 2 year old. I really enjoyed all the decorative elements of this design and especially making the edible clown figurines. : )

This past weekend, I made a special cake for my compadres Hilda & Danny who were honored with a baby shower celebration. The party was centered on the "Animals of the Jungle" theme and they spared no details on this festive and happy occasion. Here are some pictures I captured...
As always the animal figures and bows are edible and made of sugar paste known as Fondant
Hilda and Danny are expecting their first baby and it's a girl!
Final picture before cutting the cake; figurines were not eaten, they remained a keepsake : )
